Statutory & Administrative Integrity

The Managing Committee meets quarterly to review academic progress, teacher-student ratios, infrastructural enhancements, and laboratory safety protocols. All administrative decisions adhere to guidelines issued by the Department of School Education, Government of Assam, and the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB).

Terms of Reference

What the Committee Is Responsible For

The School Management Committee does not teach and does not interfere in the classroom. Its work is to set policy, approve budgets, hold the administration to account and ensure that what is promised to a parent at the admission desk is what is delivered through the year.

The Committee is constituted in accordance with the norms of the Department of School Education, Government of Assam, and includes educationists, a legal advisor and a guardian representative so that the parent voice is present in the room where decisions are taken.

Academic Policy

Approving the annual calendar, the streams offered, the assessment scheme and the integrated coaching structure.

Fees & Finance

Fixing and publishing the fee structure, sanctioning the scholarship and concession scheme, and reviewing the audited accounts.

Appointments

Approving the appointment of teaching and administrative staff on the qualification standards set by the Committee.

Infrastructure & Safety

Sanctioning construction and equipment, and verifying that building, fire, water and sanitation certification stays current.

Child Protection

Constituting the discipline, anti-ragging and grievance cells and reviewing every complaint escalated to it.

Statutory Compliance

Maintaining ASSEB affiliation, UDISE and School Darpan records, and the disclosures published on this website.

Frequency

Quarterly, and on Call

The Committee meets once each quarter, and at any time the Principal or the President convenes a special sitting on an urgent matter.

Academic progress and test results, teacher-student ratio, laboratory safety, hostel welfare, and the status of every statutory certificate.
