Questions Parents Ask Us

Admission, Answered Plainly

These are the questions the admission desk is asked most often. If yours is not here, telephone the office on +91 69009 12323 or submit an enquiry and a mentor will call you back.

Is my child eligible for the 100% tuition waiver?

Any student who has scored 90% or above in the Class X Board examination — HSLC or CBSE — receives a full tuition fee waiver for Higher Secondary, in Science or in Arts. Students scoring between 80% and 89% receive a special concession decided at the time of admission. Bring the original mark sheet to the admission desk; the waiver is confirmed on the spot by the Principal.

Will my child still need private tuition in the evening?

No. That is the whole reason this school was founded. Board teaching and NEET or JEE preparation run inside one timetable, taught by the same senior faculty, and the day closes with a doubt-clearing clinic. A student who attends school regularly and does the assigned practice has no academic need for outside coaching.

Is the integrated coaching compulsory?

It is optional and separately charged. A student may take Higher Secondary Science purely for the Board, or add the NEET or JEE integrated batch. Our counsellors will tell you honestly at the interview whether the coaching load suits your child, rather than enrolling everyone by default.

Which medium of instruction is used?

Both English and Assamese medium are offered. A student who has come from an Assamese medium school is not disadvantaged here — teachers explain in whichever language makes the concept land, while building the English vocabulary the Board and the entrance examinations require.

Is hostel accommodation available for outstation students?

Yes. Separate hostels for boys and girls are maintained under 24×7 CCTV surveillance, with resident wardens, a hygienic mess, RO drinking water and supervised evening study. Hostel and mess charges are billed separately from tuition. Guardians are welcome to inspect the hostel before admitting a child.

Which board is the school affiliated to?

Quantum Public School is affiliated under the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), with UDISE code 18020435404 and School Darpan code 105677. Teaching is aligned to ASSEB and CBSE curricula, with NCERT as the core text. Our statutory certificates are listed under Mandatory Public Disclosure.

How are fees paid, and can they be paid in instalments?

Fees are accepted by cash, UPI or bank transfer, always against a printed receipt from the school office. Tuition is charged monthly. The yearly package for Higher Secondary Science and the coaching fee may be paid in agreed instalments — discuss this with the office at admission rather than after a due date has passed. Refund rules are published in the Refund Policy.

Can a student join mid-session or transfer from another school?

Mid-session admission is considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to seats being available in the class and to the student being able to catch up with the portion already covered. A Transfer Certificate from the previous school and the last examination mark sheet are required. Where a gap is found, our faculty will tell you what bridging work will be needed before the student joins.
